New monograph on the geology of the České středohoří Mountains

A new monograph, Geology of the České středohoří Mountains, has been published by ACADEMIA. The book offers a comprehensive insight into one of the most distinctive geological regions of the Czech Republic. It explores the České středohoří Mountains from geological, volcanological, tectonic, paleontological, mineralogical, and economic-geological perspectives. The scholarly content is complemented by extensive photographic documentation, visual reconstructions of ancient landscapes, and accessible texts aimed also at the general public.

A team of experts from the Institute of Geology of the Czech Academy of Sciences made a significant contribution to the preparation of the book.
