Bulk Precipitation Chemistry

Bulk precipitation is not sampled directly in the area of the catchment. It is sampled at two sites Arboretum and Truba which are located approcimatley 3.5 km away from catchment (see the map). The precipitation is being captured in VOSS samplers (see below). These samplers are unique for the precipitation sampling in Czech Republic. There is also a special sampler at each site (the one at ARB is being pointed out by our technician Mirek Karlik and the other is on the left side of the TR photo) which contain nitric acid for sample stabilisation. The precipitation is sampled monthly.
